Hardly has the enthusiasm started over the N9, Nokia's first MeeGo phone that everyone has been waiting for, than along comes Stephen Elop, CEO of Nokia, to say that it will be the first, and last, Meego phone from them... even if it is a massive hit!
So, it would seem that the N9 will be still born thanks to Mr Elop... which begs the question...Why launch it in the first place... so close to the Nokia Windows launch and then announce that it's a "one off"?
Perhaps it's proof of concept so that Mr Elop can sell it off, like Symbian, and raise more capital... or has he sold Nokia's soul to the devil?
Nokia seems to have no plans of releasing the N9 in some of the biggest markets in the world. Some of the countries, which will surprisingly miss on the MeeGo smartphone are USA, UK, France, Germany, Spain, Italy, Canada etc. according to this article:-
